Terms and conditions
General
These terms and conditions apply to the website www.rotterdam.info (hereinafter: the Website). The Website is the property of Stichting Rotterdam Partners (hereinafter: Rotterdam Partners).
By visiting this Website and/or using the information or products offered on this Website, you agree to the content and validity of the terms and conditions.
Use of the Website
The information on the Website is intended solely as general information. No rights can therefore be derived from this information. While we do our best to ensure the content on the Website is as up-to-date and as complete as possible, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, validity, completeness or timeliness of the information that is published on the Website or to which access is offered via the Website. We also offer no guarantee for the faultless and uninterrupted functioning of the Website. Rotterdam Partners rejects any liability with regard to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness of the information provided and the (undisturbed) use of the Website.
Use of the Venue & Service Finder
The Venue & Service Finder helps users find suitable venues and services for meetings, conferences and events, among other things. Based on the filters applied by the user, suitable venues and services are shown and these can be approached for a quote at the request of the user.
Requesting quotes via the Venue & Service Finder service is without obligation and free of charge for the applicant. Receiving a quote does not oblige the applicant to book a venue/service. The applicant is responsible for providing relevant information about the event, such as:
- Name of the event;
- Type of event;
- Expected number of participants;
- Other additional information.
Incomplete or incorrect information may affect the suitability of the suggested venues/services.
The Website forwards the request to the venues and services that the applicant has selected. Upon receipt of the request, these venues and services may contact the applicant directly to request additional information or send a quote. All further communication, negotiations and agreements take place directly between the applicant and the venue/service, without the intervention of Rotterdam Partners.
The Venue & Service Finder acts solely as an intermediary service. Rotterdam Partners is not a contractual party to any agreements between the applicant and the venue/service.
Rotterdam Partners is not liable for:
- the content of quotes;
- availability of venues/services;
- changes in prices or conditions;
- the performance of services by the venue/service.
Purchase Rotterdam City Card
The Rotterdam City Card is a digital card (hereinafter: Card) that allows visitors to discover Rotterdam in an affordable and accessible way. With the Card, the purchaser (hereinafter: Cardholder) may, during the chosen validity period, make use of selected benefits, discounts and/or services offered by participating businesses (hereinafter: Partner(s)) in the city. Depending on the selected variant, the Rotterdam City Card may also provide access to public transport in Rotterdam and the surrounding area.
Additional terms and conditions apply to the Rotterdam City Card.
The Rotterdam City Card must be activated within six months of purchase and is thereafter valid for the agreed period. After activation of the Card, the Cardholder has the right to use the services offered by the Partners during the validity period. RET transport services may only be used by Cardholders who selected and paid for this option at the time of purchase.
The Rotterdam City Card is personal and non-transferable. The Card must be shown to the Partner upon request when it is used. Rotterdam Partners is entitled to cancel the Card in the event of proven misuse. By using a Partner’s service, the Cardholder enters into an agreement with that Partner. The Cardholder thereby accepts that the terms and conditions of the relevant Partner apply to the services provided by that Partner.
Complaints about the quality or availability of services offered by Partners will only be handled by Rotterdam Partners after the Cardholder has demonstrated that he or she first submitted a complaint to the Partner concerned and that this complaint did not lead to a resolution.
Rotterdam Partners is only liable for the proper functioning of the Card. Rotterdam Partners is not liable for the quality or availability of services offered by Partners, nor for any damage suffered by a Cardholder or third party in connection with the use of a Partner’s services.
Refunds for the Rotterdam City Card
Scope: This refund policy applies to purchases of the Rotterdam City Card made through www.rotterdam.info. Additional or different terms and conditions may apply to purchases made through other points of sale, resellers or Partners. The Cardholder’s statutory rights remain fully applicable.
Right of withdrawal for online purchases: The Cardholder may cancel an online purchase within fourteen days of purchase, provided that the Card has not yet been activated or used. Once the Card has been activated or used, the Cardholder agrees that the service has started and the right to cancel the purchase expires, to the extent permitted by law.
Refund in the event of a malfunction: If, after activation, the Cardholder is unable to use the Card for at least two hours on one day due to a malfunction beyond his or her control, the Cardholder may submit a request for a refund of the purchase price of the Card for that day. Only malfunctions relating to the functioning of the Card itself are covered by this provision. Malfunctions, restrictions or changes at Partners are subject to the terms and complaints procedure of the relevant Partner.
Exclusions: No refund will be made if the Card has been activated or used, except in the cases referred to under “Refund in the event of a malfunction”. No refund will be made if the Card has not been activated within six months of purchase, if the validity period has expired, in the event of loss of access due to circumstances attributable to the Cardholder, or in the event of proven misuse.
Submitting a request: A request for cancellation or refund must be submitted in writing using the withdrawal form. The Cardholder must include at least the order number, the name under which the purchase was made, the email address used for the purchase, the purchase date, the reason for the request and, where applicable, a brief explanation of the malfunction.
Assessment and handling: Rotterdam Partners will assess within five working days of receiving the complete request whether the request complies with this policy and may ask for additional information. If additional information is required, the assessment period will start once this information has been received in full. The Cardholder will be informed by email about the assessment and further handling of the request. If the request is approved, the refund will be made using the same payment method as used for the purchase, unless this is not reasonably possible or otherwise agreed.
Refund period: After approval of the request, the refund will be processed as soon as possible. In the case of a valid withdrawal, the refund will be made within the statutory period of 14 days. For other approved refunds, Rotterdam Partners aims to process the refund within ten working days after approval. The Cardholder will be informed by email about the processing of the refund. If processing within this period is not possible, for example due to technical limitations, payment processing by third parties or missing information, Rotterdam Partners will inform the Cardholder as soon as possible about the expected processing period.
Complaints: If the Cardholder does not agree with the assessment of a request, he or she may contact Rotterdam Partners in writing via [email protected]. Complaints about the quality or availability of Partner services will only be handled by Rotterdam Partners after the Cardholder has first submitted a complaint to the relevant Partner and this complaint did not lead to a resolution.
Changes: Rotterdam Partners may amend this refund policy. The version applicable at the time of purchase applies to the relevant purchase, unless a later version is more favourable to the Cardholder or mandatory law provides otherwise.
